FLIGHT IN A LIGHT AIRCRAFT
Even if you frequently travel by plane, you will find that a sightseeing flight in a light aircraft is an unforgettable experience. The Szczecin-based company SkyCity offers scenic flights in a light aircraft. However, Szczecin itself is not the airport from which their flights operate. You need to travel to Lądowisko Chojna, located about 70 kilometres from Szczecin, which is about a one-hour drive by car. A flight voucher must be purchased in advance.
GLIDER FLIGHT
If you dream of flying in a glider, Szczecin offers a great selection of scenic glider or motor-glider flights. The association Szybowcowy Szczecin operates such flights every weekend from April to October at an airfield near Pasewalk in Germany, about 45 kilometres from Szczecin.
HOT AIR BALLOON FLIGHT
If you have never done it before, take the opportunity to have your first hot air balloon flight. Szczecin is on the list of cities where specialized companies organize balloon flights. POWERED PARAGLIDER FLIGHT
There are companies in Poland that offer scenic flights with a powered paraglider (paramotor), ultralight trike, or tandem paraglider flights with an instructor. If you want to experience a paraglider flight, Szczecin does not have these flights available locally, meaning you would need to travel to a distant airfield. The same applies to ultralight trike flights. However, if you are interested in a powered paraglider (paramotor) flight, Szczecin does offer this experience. Prices range from 300 to 500 PLN, depending on the duration of the flight and whether filming is included. If you strongly prefer a non-motorized flight, that is, a paraglider flight, Best Tandem also offers paragliding flights in Trzęsacz, about 100 km from Szczecin. The price for a 15-minute flight is 300–350 PLN.
SKYDIVING
A light aircraft, a glider, a hot air balloon, a paraglider – these are increasingly extreme air adventures. The ultimate thrill is a parachute jump. Szczecin offers an amazing skydiving experience. We recommend a company operating under the brand Lecim na Szczecin. Skydives take place at Chojna Airport, 60 km from Szczecin, from April–May until the end of September. The minimum passenger height is 145 cm, and the maximum is 200 cm, while the minimum weight is 40 kg, and the maximum is 99 kg. How much does a skydive cost?
